About Me
This site focuses on my art expression in glass from the 1970s until recently.  A couple of years ago I began a journey that I am still on.  I've been traveling through Mexico and parts of the USA for two years.  So the current "me" is a traveler, learning Spanish, taking pictures, and seeing new things.

My Life in the Arts
I was trained in dance - tap, ballet and acrobatics from the age of 3 until 19.
In my early twenties, I became adept at yoga.  With the blessing of my teacher, Shivaram,
I first began teaching yoga classes in Mt. Shasta City, California, 1969-1970.  Via classes, demos and explanations I  continued to offer yoga in schools, recreation departments, and privately from 1969 until 2020.  For me, yoga is an art as well as a spiritual practice. The physical, mental, and spiritual components of yoga are an important part of my daily life and have been for over 50 years.

In 1976, I took a stained glass class for fun.  I loved working with glass!  Soon competent, I created lamps and windows for many Northern California homes.  My lamps were featured in the De Young Museum gift shop during the Tiffany Exibibion in 1981.  Later, I created stained glass pattern books and coloring books.  Birds Stained Glass Pattern Book, my first book, published by Dover Publications, was followed by more than a dozen stained glass pattern books and coloring books, Victorian, Art Nouveau, Native American and many more.   Click on the Books link to see them.

I was always aware that at the time, I was only serving comfortable and educated people with my glass and yogic arts.  I wanted to serve the underserved. Teaching appeared to me to be a good option. So I returned to college in 1987 (after a twenty year hiatus), completed my B.A. and my master's degree, with a focus on Cultural Ecology, and I earned teaching credentials in art, anthropology and elementary education. I put my credentials to use as a classroom teacher for the next decade.

Always, in the background, I studied astrology.  From my first introduction in 1968, I calculated charts for for family and friends by hand, later via computer, and I paid attention to the correlation of outward events to the daily positions of the planets.  This long study of over 55 years has continually kept my interest. Through my chart readings for family, friends, and clients, I help people to have more clarity in making decisions, enhance relationships, and take advantage of timing for successful outcomes.
There is a connecting thread through my life, though a superficial view may find no connections.  The thread is my ability to see and interpret patterns: patterns of the heavens, patterns in glass, patterns of bodily movement.  Creating and flowing with harmonious patterns is the joy of my life.
As I view a horoscope, I see the patterns that inform a client's life.  The astrological chart is a blueprint - the pattern of the structure of one's life.
